Ati Radeon X1300 Overview

In the new low-end graphics chip lineup from ATI. ATI Radeon X1300 is now the fastest graphic chip among other ATI’s. To find out what makes it superior we by nature needs to compare its performance to other of its kind such as Radeon X300, GeForce 6200, and some middle segment chips alike, such as GeForce 6600 and GeForce 6600 GT. The fabulous news is that all chips from Radeon X1000 series has finally supporting the quality for Shader 3.0 model (DirectX 9.0c).

Here are some points compared among the ATI Radeon X1300 lineups :

  • ATI X1300 Pro
  • 600 MHz/ 800 MHz (12.8 GB/s) memory access/ USD  149
  • ATI Radeon X1300 128 MB version
  • 450 MHz/ 500 MHz memory access/ USD 99
  • ATI Radeon X1300 256 MB version
  • 450 MHz/ 500 MHz memory access/ USD 129
  • X1300 HyperMemory
  • 450 MHz/ 1 GHz memory access/ USD 79.

Note that HyperMemory is able to simulate a 128 MB video card through taking its system’s RAM (96 MB) as video memory. The 32MB on-board of HyperMemory doesn not slow it down to achieve a 1GHz speed to access its memory, twice as fast as the Radeon X1300 to keep up with the difference in the size for video memory. Tutorial on HyperMemory with further information have been made if you want to investigate further.

Read “ATI Chips Comparison Table” to find out the result of our comparing ATI Radeon X1300 to other ATI chips. Comparison to other brand of graphic card can be found in our “NVidia Chips Comparison Table” in which we compare NVidia products as it competitors. Let’s now take a closer look on the Radeon X1300 Pro reference board from ATI.
